The Air Force Falcons (6-2) welcome the Army Black Knights (3-5) to Colorado Springs this weekend for another installment of the battle for the Commander-in-Chief trophy. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM EST on November 2nd at Falcon Stadium and the game will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
Taking a look at the Week 10 college football odds, Air Force opened as a 14.5-point home favorite earlier this week. The spread hasn’t moved at all after early betting, as the Falcons are currently available at -14.5. The total for the game is sitting at 45.5 points.
Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Air Force vs Army
Army lost their fourth game in a row last weekend, falling 34-29 at home against San Jose State to drop to 3-5 on the season overall. The Black Knights fell behind 23-10 in the second quarter and couldn’t find a way to pull off the comeback despite outscoring the Spartans 19-11 over the final 30 minutes of the game. Kelvin Hopkins Jr. threw the only passing touchdown of the game for the offense, connecting with Camden Harrison on one of his two completions for 50 yards. Christian Anderson led the way on the ground, rushing for 87 yards and two scores on a team-high 16 rushing attempts. Overall, Army generated well over 400 total yards of offense and scored four touchdowns in the loss.
The Black Knights had a rough outing on the other side of the ball against San Jose State, giving up over 400 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. Army had no answer for Spartans QB Josh Love, as he passed for 314 yards and three touchdowns through the air.
Air Force won their third consecutive game last weekend, beating Utah State 31-7 at home to improve to 6-2 on the season overall. The Falcons scored 17 unanswered points in the second quarter and cruised to victory the rest of the way, giving up only a single touchdown all game en route to a double-digit victory. The offense certainly didn’t do all that much through the air, gaining only 24 total receiving yards all game. However, the trio of Timothy Jackson, Kadin Remsberg, and Taven Birdow combined for almost 350 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground. As a whole, Air Force racked up just under 500 total yards of offense and scored four touchdowns in the win.
The Falcons were fantastic defensively against Utah State, holding the Aggies to just 128 total yards of offense and a single touchdown. Air Force was especially impressive defending against the run, as they only surrendered 14 net rushing yards all game.
NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: OVER 45.5
I’m not really all that interested in either of these two teams against the spread here in Week 10, as the number currently looks pretty efficient to me overall. While I do think that Air Force will likely win this game outright against a below average Army squad, the Falcons may have some difficulty covering over two touchdowns in this matchup. However, I do think that the OVER on 45.5 total points might be one of my favorite plays of the entire weekend. The Black Knights have given up at least 28 points in three out of their last four games overall while also scoring at least 29 points in four outings this year already. On the other side, Air Force has scored 130 total points in just their last three games combined. They also haven’t been that great defensively so far this season either, allowing their opponents to score at least three touchdowns in five out of their first eight games.

The total has also gone OVER in four out of the Falcons last five games overall. The OVER has also come through in three out of their last four games played at home as well. I’m going to avoid both teams against the spread in this particular spot, as I really don’t want to roll the dice with either side. Give me the OVER on 45.5 total points scored in what should be a highly entertaining matchup between these two service academies.
