Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Alabama vs Auburn
Auburn improved to 7-4 on the season overall last weekend after destroying Liberty 53-0 at home. The Tigers played exceptionally well on both sides of the ball, especially on defense where they gave up just 134 total yards and forced four turnovers. QB Jarrett Stidham played the role of game manager quite well, throwing for almost 200 yards and two touchdowns. Stidham certainly didn’t need to do a whole lot, as Auburn posted 340 rushing yards on 61 carries. He has been enjoying a pretty goodl season however, throwing for 2,294 yards and 12 touchdowns. RB JaTarvious Whitlow leads the way on the ground, racking up 716 rushing yards and four touchdowns in 11 games. As a whole, the offense is currently averaging 28.9 points per game on 381.8 total yards.
The Tigers have been extremely solid defensively so far this season, limiting opponents to an average of just 16.5 points per game on 351.2 total yards of offense. They have been above average against both the run and the pass through their first 11 games, ranking 42nd and 45th overall respectively.
Alabama stayed perfect last weekend, beating the Citadel 50-17 despite an extremely slow start in the first half. The Crimson Tide let the Bulldogs hang around for two quarters, as the two teams were tied 10-10 at the break. Things were much different in the second half after Nick Saban read his team the riot act prior to the start of the 3rd quarter. Alabama scored 40 points over the final two quarters to win by over 30 points, although they did fall well short of covering the spread. QB Tua Tagovailoa has been incredible through 11 games, throwing for 2,865 yards and 31 touchdowns. He has certainly had a ton of help from WR Jerry Jeudy, who has over 1,000 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns on 51 total receptions. The dynamic trio of Najee Harris, Damien Harris, and Joshua Jacobs leads the way on the ground, as the three backs have combined for 1,701 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. Overall, Alabama is currently averaging a ridiculous 48.7 points per game (3rd overall) on 541.5 yards of total offense.
The Crimson Tide have also been elite on the other side of the ball this year, holding opponents to an average of just 13.1 points per game on 282.1 yards of total offense. Alabama has been especially strong against the pass, allowing only 169.5 yards per game through the air per game (10th overall).
NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Alabama -24.5
The Iron Bowl is always one of the biggest highlights of the entire college football season, and this years edition should be no exception. Auburn certainly hasn’t looked quite as strong as they have in the past, but they should still give Alabama a stern test here in Week 13. However, the Crimson Tide look pretty much unstoppable right now and should be extremely focused after getting a bit of a wake up call against the Citadel in Week 12. Saban was certainly not happy with his troops, and there is no doubt he will his troops ready to play right from the opening kickoff on Saturday.

The Tigers are just 2-7 ATS over their last nine games against opponents with a winning record. They are also only 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an against the spread win. Alabama is a perfect 4-0 ATS over their last four conference games. They are also 5-1 ATS in their last six games against teams with a winning record and 4-1 ATS over their last five games overall.
The Crimson Tide has been dominant in the Iron Bowl as of late, winning seven out of the last ten meetings between these two teams. It is also worth noting that Alabama has won seven consecutive games by 24 points or more. While I might have been tempted to take the points in this matchup several other times over the past decade, that certainly isn’t the case this year. I’m laying the points on Saturday and rolling with the Crimson Tide to cover the spread at home.
