The #16 overall Auburn Tigers (8-3) host the #5 overall Alabama Crimson Tide (10-1) this weekend in the Iron Bowl. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM EST on November 30th at Jordan-Hare Stadium and the game will be nationally televised on CBS.

Taking a look at the Week 14 college football odds, Alabama opened as a 3.5-point road favorite earlier this week. The spread has come down by half a point after early betting, as the Crimson Tide are currently available at -3. The total for the game is sitting at 50 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Auburn vs Alabama

Alabama won their second straight game last weekend, crushing WCU 66-3 at home to improve to 10-1 on the season overall. The Crimson Tide scored 17 unanswered points in the first quarter and never looked back, cruising to a blowout victory. QB Mac Jones went 10/12 for 275 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air while RB Keilan Robinson racked up 92 rushing yards and a touchdown on just eight carries. WR Jaylen Waddle led the way for the receiving corps, hauling in three catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. Overall, Alabama gained well over 500 total yards of offense and found the end zone eight times against a shell-shocked Catamounts defense.

The Crimson Tide had a very solid outing on the other side of the ball against West Carolina, surrendering under 200 total yards of offense and just a single field goal. Alabama was especially impressive defending against the pass, allowing only 112 yards through the air and recording four interceptions.

Auburn has now won two out of their last three games after destroying Samford 52-0 at home last weekend to improve to 8-3 on the season overall. The Tigers scored 31 unanswered points in the first half and kept rolling down the stretch, tacking on three more touchdowns over the final 30 minutes of the game. QB Bo Nix went 15/23 for 150 passing yards and a touchdown through the air. Shaun Shivers led the way on the ground, rumbling for 55 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Zach Farrar also got in on the scoring parade, hitting pay dirt twice despite making just two catches for 31 yards. As a whole, Auburn generated around 550 total yards and scored seven touchdowns on offense in the win.

The Tigers were also extremely impressive defensively against Samford, barely giving up over 100 yards of offense. Auburn was fantastic against the run, holding the Bulldogs to just 51 net rushing yards the entire game.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Alabama -3

Despite being without the services of Tua Tagovailoa for the rest of the season, I still think that the Crimson Tide should find a way to win this game outright. Alabama certainly didn’t seem to miss a beat offensively last weekend, although I’m sure the fact they were up against a weak WCU defense definitely didn’t hurt either. They will certainly face a much tougher test on the road here in Week 14, as Auburn is a rock-solid 8-3 against the spread through the first eleven games. They have also fared quite well at Jordan-Hare Stadium this season, covering the number in four out of their last five home games. Even so, Alabama is a perfect 7-0 outright in their last seven outings on the road. They are also a very respectable 4-2 against the spread over their last six games overall.

The Crimson Tide have had the upper hand in this massive SEC West rivalry over the past couple of years, winning seven out of their last ten meetings with Auburn outright. However, Alabama has struggled a little bit at Jordan Hare Stadium, failing to cover the number in five out of their last seven road games with the Tigers. With so little separating these two programs, this matchup could definitely go either way. Although I am at least a little bit worried about their 26-14 Iron Bowl loss on the road in 2017, I think that the Crimson Tide will extract some revenge on Saturday afternoon. I’ll lay the field goal and take a shot with the slight road favorite – give me Alabama to cover!
