Bengals vs Steelers Game Odds & Betting Preview
The Steelers came up short on the road against Cleveland their last time out, falling 21-7 on Thursday Night Football to drop back to .500 on the season overall. Pittsburgh fell behind 14-0 in the first half and never recovered, scoring just a single touchdown the entire time. QB Mason Rudolph had a brutal night, throwing four interceptions before getting involved in an ugly incident with Myles Garrett late in the fourth quarter. RB Jaylen Samuels led the way on the ground, rushing for 26 yards on just five carries. Samuels was also on the receiving end of the only passing touchdown of the game for the offense, hitting pay dirt on one of his five catches for 19 yards. James Washington also chipped in, making three receptions for 49 yards. Overall, the Steelers gained well under 300 total yards of offense in the loss.
Pittsburgh was average defensively against the Browns, giving up almost 300 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. The Steelers struggled to contain Cleveland QB Baker Mayfield at times, as he threw two touchdowns and added another score on the ground as well.
The Bengals are still searching for their first win of the season after losing 17-10 on the road against Oakland last weekend to drop to 0-10 overall. Cincinnati jumped out to an early lead but couldn’t hold on over the next three quarters, getting outscored 17-3. QB Ryan Finley continued to struggle, going just 13/31 for 115 passing yards while also getting picked off once. RB Joe Mixon made an impact on the ground, rushing for 86 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. WR Auden Tate led the way for the receiving corps, hauling in four catches for 56 yards. As a whole, the Bengals generated close to 300 total yards of offense despite coming up short on the scoreboard.
Cincinnati had a pretty solid outing on the other side of the ball in Week 11, holding the Raiders to just two touchdowns despite surrendering more than 400 yards of total offense. However, the Bengals couldn’t find a way to slow down Oakland RB Josh Jacobs on the ground, as he racked up 112 rushing yards on a game-high 23 carries.
Free NFL Betting Predictions and Pick: UNDER 39
While I’m also at least somewhat tempted to lay the 6.5 points and roll with the road favorite on Sunday afternoon, my favorite play from this AFC North clash is the UNDER on 39 total points scored. Both offenses have really struggled to put points on the board as of late, as neither team has scored more than 26 points in three straight outings. The Bengals have been especially bad offensively in recent weeks, scoring 23 total points since the coaching staff decided to bench Andy Dalton at the end of October. On the other side of the ball, Pittsburgh has given up no more than 24 points in five straight games, while Cincinnati has allowed more than 27 points just once over that same time span.

It is also important to note that the total has gone UNDER in seven out of Pittsburgh’s first ten games this season – including four straight road outings as well. On the other side, the UNDER has come through in six out of Cincinnati’s last nine games overall. A similar trend is also apparent when analyzing the last several meetings between these two AFC North Rivals, as the UNDER has hit in seven out of their last ten battles. In fact, both teams have combined to average 39.10 total points per game during that stretch, but even that low number may be a little bit inflated due to the fact that Ben Roethlisberger and Andy Dalton started at quarterback for several of those meetings. With Mason Rudolph and Ryan Finley under center here in Week 13, fire up the UNDER on 39 total points scored with confidence.
