The #21 overall Boise State Broncos (7-1) host the Wyoming Cowboys (6-2) this weekend for a Mountain West Conference clash from Idaho. Kickoff is set for 10:15 PM EST on November 9th at Albertsons Stadium and the game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

Taking a look at the Week 11 college football odds, Boise State opened as a 13-point home favorite earlier this week. The spread hasn’t moved at all after early betting, as the Broncos are currently available at -13. The total for the game is sitting at 47.5 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Boise State vs Wyoming

Wyoming improved to 6-2 on the season overall their last time out, beating Nevada 31-3 at home. The Cowboys jumped out to a 24-3 lead in the first half and cruised to victory from there, completely shutting out the Wolf Pack on offense the rest of the way. QB Sean Chambers went 6/9 for 158 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air while also adding another score on the ground. RB Xazavian Valladay was outstanding, racking up 206 rushing yards on a game-high 26 carries. Rocket Ismail Jr. also chipped in, hauling in four catches for 93 yards and a touchdown. As a whole, Wyoming generated well over 450 total yards of offense and found the end zone four times against a below average Wolf Pack defense.

The Cowboys had an outstanding outing on the other side of the ball against Nevada, giving up just over 300 total yards of offense and only one field goal. Wyoming was especially strong defending against the run, as the Wolf Pack only rushed for 81 net rushing yards on the ground.

Boise State has now won seven out of their first eight games this season after outlasting San Jose State 52-42 on the road to improve to 7-1 overall. The Broncos needed a 21-point outburst over the final 15 minutes of the game to lock up their seventh win of the year, as they trailed the Spartans by a field goal heading into the fourth quarter. QB Hank Bachmeier didn’t do all that much through the air, going 13/17 for 213 passing yards and no touchdowns. RB George Holani carried to majority of the load on offense, torching the defense for 126 rushing yards and four touchdowns on a game-high 28 carries. Andrew Van Buren was also solid on the ground, finding the end zone on one of his nine carries for 85 yards. Overall, Boise State gained over 450 total yards and scored six touchdowns on offense against a shell-shocked Spartans defense.

The Broncos had an absolutely brutal game defensively against San Jose State, allowing almost 500 total yards and surrendering five touchdowns to the Spartans offense. Boise State had no answer for the receiving duo of Tre Walker and Bailey Gaither, as they combined for a ridiculous 303 yards and one touchdown.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: OVER 47.5

Even though I am somewhat tempted by the road underdog against the spread in this particular spot, I just can’t pull the trigger after considering that Boise State has won their last three home games by double-digits. While I do think that the Cowboys should find a way to hang tough for at least a couple of quarters, Boise State has really been pouring it on over the final two quarters of games as of late. However, I do think that there is some fairly decent value to be found with the OVER on 47.5 total points scored. I’m certainly not expecting the Broncos to get into another shootout like their Week 10 battle with San Jose State, but the offense should still find some success on Saturday evening. Wyoming has also been firing on all cylinders offensively over their last couple of outings, putting up 133 total points over their last four games combined.

It is also important to note that both schools have gone a combined 10-6 against the spread so far this season, so it really is tough to pick sides considering they both have covered the number more often than not. I really don’t want to throw darts against what looks to be a pretty efficient spread, so I am planning on sticking solely to the OVER in this Mountain West showdown. The total has now gone OVER in four out of Boise State’s last six games overall as well. I’ll roll with the OVER on 47.5 total points scored in what should be a highly entertaining battle between two of the Mountain West Conference’s top programs.
