Cardinals vs Rams Game Odds & Betting Preview
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams have now lost two out of their last three games after getting embarrassed 45-6 at home in Week 12 on Monday Night Football. Los Angeles gave up four touchdowns in the first half and never recovered, scoring just two field goals the entire game. QB Jared Goff continued to struggle, throwing two interceptions and going 26/37 for 212 passing yards. RB Todd Gurley couldn’t get anything going on the ground, rushing for 22 yards on just six carries. Robert Woods led the way for the receiving corps, hauling in six catches for 97 yards. Overall, the Rams generated under 250 total yards of offense and failed to find the end zone in the blowout loss.
Los Angeles was horrendous defensively against the Ravens, getting lit up for almost 500 total yards of offense and six touchdowns. The Rams had no answer for Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson, as he threw five touchdown passes and rushed for 95 yards on eight carries.
The Cardinals couldn’t find a way to get past San Francisco their last time out, falling 36-26 on the road to drop their fourth game in a row. Arizona led 16-10 at the half but collapsed down the stretch, getting outscored 26-10 over the final two quarters of the game. QB Kyler Murray went 24/33 for 150 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air while RB Kenyan Drake rushed for 67 yards on a team-high 16 carries on the ground. Larry Fitzgerald and Pharoh Cooper were the only members of the receiving corps to find the end zone, combining for 72 yards and two touchdowns on eight catches. As a whole, the Cardinals gained just under 300 total yards of offense against a tough 49ers defense.
Arizona had a rough outing on the other side of the ball against the 49ers, surrendering over 450 total yards of offense and four touchdowns. The Cardinals couldn’t find a way to contain WR Deebo Samuel, allowing him to rack up eight receptions for 134 yards.
Free NFL Betting Predictions and Pick: UNDER 48
I’m really not seeing a ton of value with either side against the spread in this NFC West clash, as the number looks pretty efficient to me overall. While I am at least a little bit tempted by a Rams squad that has gone a perfect 3-0 ATS in their last three battles against Arizona, they simply have too many question marks on offense right now to give up a full field goal on the road. Therefore, the optimal play in this matchup is likely the UNDER on 48 total points scored, as Los Angeles has scored an embarrassing 35 total points over their last three outings combined. The Cardinals offense hasn’t really fared all that well in divisional games this season either, averaging under 25 points per game against NFC West opponents.

It is also important to note that these two divisional rivals have been involved in their fair share of defensive battles together in recent years, as the total has now gone UNDER in two out of their last three meetings. Offense was certainly hard to come by in the last meeting between Arizona and Los Angeles at State Farm Stadium, as only 40 total points were scored in a game that had a total of 44. This matchup could easily go either way, so I’m going to avoid throwing darts against a tough spread in favor of the UNDER on 48 total points scored on Sunday afternoon.
