Cardinals vs Steelers Game Odds & Betting Preview
The Steelers won their second game in a row last weekend, beating Cleveland 20-13 at home to improve to 7-5 on the season overall. Pittsburgh scored seven unanswered points in the third quarter to break a 10-10 tie en route to a critical victory. QB Devlin Hodges appeared to be a slight step up from Mason Rudolph, going 14/21 for 212 passing yards and a touchdown. RB Benny Snell Jr. led the way on the ground, rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown on a team-high 16 carries. James Washington also chipped in, hauling in four receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown. Overall, the Steelers gained well over 300 total yards of offense and found the end zone twice in the victory.
Pittsburgh was very solid defensively against the Browns, giving up just over 300 total yards of offense and only one touchdown. The Steelers were especially impressive defending against the run, holding Cleveland RB Nick Chubb to just 3.6 yards per carry.
The Cardinals have now lost five consecutive games after getting crushed 34-7 at home by the Los Angeles Rams last weekend. Arizona have up 20 unanswered points in the first half and never recovered, scoring just a single touchdown the entire game. QB Kyler Murray really struggled, going just 19/34 for 163 passing yards while also getting picked off once as well. Kenyan Drake couldn’t find much running room on the ground, rushing for just 31 yards on 13 carries. Larry Fitzgerald led the way for the receiving corps, making six catches for 56 yards. As a whole, the Cardinals barely generated 200 yards of total offense in the embarrassing defeat.
Arizona also had a rough outing on the other side of the ball against the Rams, surrendering over 550 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. The Cardinals had no answer for Robert Woods, as he torched the secondary for 172 receiving yards on a game-high 13 catches.
Free NFL Betting Predictions and Pick: Steelers -2.5
I’m leaning towards rolling with Pittsburgh against the spread here in Week 14, as they need to win this game in order to keep their AFC wildcard hopes alive. While their offense has certainly struggled over the past couple of months, their play on the other side of the ball has been fantastic since acquiring CB Minkah Fitzpatrick. In fact, the defense has only surrendered 56 total points over their last four outings combined – an average of under 15 points per game. The Cardinals have really been on a downswing offensively as of late too, getting held to just over 20 points per game since Week 8. Therefore, the UNDER on 43.5 might still offer a tiny bit of value as well.

The Steelers have also performed pretty well against the spread in this matchup in recent years, covering the number in four out of their last six meetings with Arizona overall. Pittsburgh is also a fantastic 6-2 ATS in their last eight battles with teams from the AFC West as well. On the other side, Arizona hasn’t won a game straight up since mid-October and is basically only playing for pride at this point in the season. I’m going to lay the 2.5 points and take a shot with the road favorite on Sunday afternoon – give me the Steelers to cover!
