Taking a look at the Week 14 college football odds, Boise State opened as a 12-point road favorite earlier this week. The spread has increased by a full point after early betting, as the Broncos are currently available at -13. The total for the game is sitting at 57.5 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: CO State vs Boise State

Boise State has won ten out of their first eleven games on the season after crushing Utah State 56-21 on the road to improve to 10-1 on the season overall. The Broncos scored six touchdowns in the first half alone and cruised to victory down the stretch despite giving up 14 points over the final two quarters. QB Jaylon Henderson went 16/28 for 187 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air while RB George Holani rumbled for 178 yards and two scores on the ground. John Hightower also chipped in, making three catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Overall, Boise State gained over 450 total yards of offense and found the end zone six times against a shell-shocked Aggies defense.

The Broncos had an average outing on the other side of the ball against Utah State, surrendering over 400 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. Boise State did a pretty good job defending against the run for the most part, holding the Aggies to 121 rushing yards.

Colorado State lost their second straight game last weekend, falling 17-7 on the road against Wyoming to drop to 4-7 on the season overall. The Rams gave up seven unanswered points in the third quarter and never recovered, getting completely shut out on offense over the final 30 minutes of the game. QB Patrick O’Brien wasn’t at his best, throwing an interception and going 17/29 for 217 passing yards. RB Jaylen Thomas couldn’t get anything going on the ground, rushing for just 23 yards on a team-high 14 carries. Warren Jackson led the way for the receiving corps, hauling in six catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. As a whole, Colorado State generated under 300 total yards of offense and scored just a single touchdown in the loss.

The Rams were pretty solid defensively against Wyoming, giving up under 300 total yards of offense and two touchdowns. Colorado State was especially impressive defending against the pass, allowing only 81 yards through the air.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: OVER 57.5

I actually really like two plays from this Mountain West Conference showdown, as I think that Boise State currently offers pretty solid value against the spread. The Broncos have absolutely dominated Colorado State over the past decade or so, covering the number in six out of their last eight meetings and going a perfect 8-0 outright. However, my favorite play in this spot is the OVER on 57.5 total points scored, as Boise State has scored at least 42 points in three out of their last four games. The Rams have also played pretty well on offense over the last month or so, scoring an average of close to 30 points per game.

It is also important to note that these two Mountain West Conference rivals have been involved in plenty of high scoring battles in recent years, as the total has now gone OVER in six out of their last eight meetings. The OVER has also come through in four out of Boise State’s last six games overall and in two out of their last three games on the road as well. On the other side, the OVER has hit in two out of Colorado State’s last three meetings with the Broncos. I’m going to lay the points and roll with the road favorite while also taking a shot with the OVER on 57.5 total points scored in what should be a fast-paced, entertaining matchup.
