Eastern Michigan improved to 6-5 on the season overall their last time out, crushing Northern Illinois 45-17 on the road. NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Kent State +5
I think that the Golden Flashes currently offer pretty decent value in this particular spot, as I wouldn’t be all that surprised if they found a way to win this MAC clash outright. Eastern Michigan has also struggled a little bit at home this year, failing to cover the number in two out of their last three outings at Rynearson Stadium. Kent State has certainly been the better team against the spread so far this season as well, going a very respectable 7-4 ATS through their first 11 games. The Golden Flashes also need a win on Friday afternoon in order to become bowl eligible, which should translate into an inspired, gutsy performance.

Kent State could easily be 6-5 or 7-4 on the season if a couple more bounces had gone their way at critical moments over the past couple of months, as three out of their six losses this year have come by a touchdown or less. It is also important to note that the Golden Flashes are a perfect 3-0 against the spread over the last three meetings between these two MAC rivals, which certainly bodes well for them here in Week 14. On the other side, the Eagles have averaged just over 21 points per game in their last three battles with Kent State, while also giving up almost 30 points per game over that same time span. I’m going to take the five points and roll with the road underdog in this matchup – give me the Golden Flashes to cover!
