The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (2-5) host the Pitt Panthers (5-3) this weekend for an ACC Coastal clash from Atlanta. Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM EST on November 2nd at Bobby Dodd Stadium and the game will be televised on the ACC Network.
Taking a look at the Week 10 college football odds, Georgia Tech opened as a 7.5-point home underdog earlier this week. The spread hasn’t moved at all after early betting, as the Yellow Jackets are currently available at +7.5. The total for the game is sitting at 43.5 points.
Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Georgia Tech vs Pitt
Pitt couldn’t find a way to win their fifth consecutive game last weekend, falling 16-12 at home against Miami to drop to 5-3 on the season overall. The Panthers trailed 10-6 at the half but couldn’t pull off a comeback over the final two quarters of the game and wound up losing by four points. QB Kenny Pickett didn’t play well against a tough Hurricanes defense, going 18/32 for 146 yards and getting picked off twice. Todd Sibley Jr. led the way on the ground, rushing for 54 yards on just four carries. V’Lique Carter also chipped in, recording two catches for 46 receiving yards. As a whole, Pitt generated over 300 total yards of offense but failed to score a single touchdown in the defeat.
The Panthers had a solid outing on the other side of the ball against Miami, holding the Hurricanes to well under 200 total yards of offense and allowing only two touchdowns. Pitt did have a little bit of trouble slowing down WR K.J. Osborn, as he torched the secondary for 94 yards and a touchdown on six catches.
Georgia Tech snapped a four game losing slide their last time outing, slipping past Miami 28-21 in overtime to improve to 2-5 on the season overall. The Yellow Jackets held the Hurricanes scoreless in the second half and found a way to get the job done during extra time, scoring a touchdown on their first possession. QB James Graham went 9/18 for 97 yards and a touchdown while also adding 23 rushing yards on the ground. RB Jordan Mason had a monster game, racking up 141 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Ardell Brown and Nate Cottrell also both found the end zone, combining for 82 yards on just four catches. Overall, Georgia Tech gained 345 total yards of offense and scored three touchdowns in the victory.
The Yellow Jackets were average defensively against Miami back in Week 8, allowing three touchdowns on just over 350 total yards of offense. Georgia Tech struggled to slow down Hurricanes QB N’Kosi Perry, as he threw two touchdowns and also added another score on the ground as well.
NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Georgia Tech +7.5
Although Pitt should find a way to win this game outright despite having to play on the road here in Week 10, I wouldn’t be all that surprised if the Yellow Jackets find a way to keep this one close. The Panthers have only won one game this year by more than seven points, which certainly could be the case yet again on Saturday evening against a Georgia Tech team that upset Miami on the road in mid-October before heading into their bye week. Not only will the Yellow Jackets be extremely well rested, they should also have a ton of confidence considering that the same Hurricanes squad they just beat came away with a win against Pittsburgh on the road last weekend.

Georgia Tech has also had the upper hand against the spread in this matchup as of late, covering the number in two out of the last three meetings between these two ACC Coastal rivals. However, Pittsburgh has played quite well on the road so far this season, going a perfect 3-0 against the spread. Even so, I think I’m going to take my chances with the points and the home underdog in this particular spot – give me the Yellow Jackets to cover!
