Giants vs Steelers Vegas Betting Preview
New York (8-3) comes in off a 27-13 road win over the Browns. The Giants have now won six straight since opening the season 2-3. They are also keeping within striking distance in the NFC East. They are just 2-games back of Dallas and get to host the Cowboys next Sunday.
Pittsburgh (6-5) enters off a 28-7 win at Indianapolis. While the Steelers covered the 8-point spread, it was a much closer game than the final score would lead on. The Colts had 4th and goal from the Steelers 1-yard line twice. Pittsburgh is tied for 1st in the AFC North with the Ravens, who they will host in Week 16.
Free Pick & Odds Predictions: Giants +6
If I’m playing this game, I have to take the points with New York. This just feels like way too many points for the Steelers to be laying against a red-hot Giants team. I believe it has a lot to do with the public being huge Pittsburgh backers. They have no problem laying less than a touchdown with the Steelers at home.

The perception is that even though Pittsburgh is 6-5, they are an elite team. I’m not buying it. They struggled to put away a Colts team last week that was without quarterback Andrew Luck. That’s not the sign of an elite team. I’m not saying they won’t win this game, I just think there’s a good chance it’s decided by less than a touchdown.
The Giants simply aren’t getting the respect they deserve right now. Not only have they won 6 straight, but they are the only team in the league who has beat the Cowboys. Momentum is not something I like to go against in the NFL and New York clearly has it right now.
It’s no secret the Steelers are a potent offensive team with their dynamic trio. However, I think this Giants defense has the pieces in place to give them problems. New York has only given up more than 24 points once all season. The defensive line is a force and the secondary keeps getting better.
Offensively, they are certainly capable of putting up some points on the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s defense is far from spectacular and are just 23rd against the pass. My big concern with the Steelers is their secondary and who is going to stop Odell Beckham. They certainly aren’t going to be able to play man with William Gay or Ross Crockrell.
I just see this being a back and forth game that comes down to the team that has the ball last. In these type of situations, you have to take the points. Especially when getting almost a touchdown. I personally think this line should be closer to 3.5, so we are getting close to a field goal in value.
Giants are 40-19 ATS in their last 59 road games after 2 or more consecutive wins. They are also a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last 6 against the AFC. Pittsburgh on the other hand is just 4-13 ATS in their last 17 home games against teams allowing 90 or fewer rushing yards in the 2nd half of the season.
