Jaguars vs Colts Game Odds & Betting Preview
The Colts snapped a four game losing slide last weekend, crushing Carolina 38-6 at home to improve to 7-8 on the season overall. Indianapolis scored three touchdowns in the first half alone and never looked back, giving up just a single field goal the entire second half. QB Jacoby Brissett didn’t do much through the air, going 14/27 for 119 passing yards and no touchdowns. However, Brissett did find the end zone on the ground while RB Marlon Mack racked up 95 yards and a score on a team-high 16 carries. T.Y. Hilton led the way for the receiving corps, making just three catches for 26 yards. Overall, the Colts gained close to 350 total yards of offense and scored three touchdowns in the win.
Indianapolis was fantastic defensively against the Panthers, giving up just over 300 total yards of offense and no touchdowns. The Colts were especially strong defending against the pass, picking off Carolina QB Will Grier three times in his NFL debut.
The Jaguars have now lost four out of their last five games after falling 24-12 on the road against Atlanta last weekend to drop to just 5-10 on the season overall. Jacksonville gave up 14 unanswered points in the first quarter and never recovered, finding the end zone just once over the final 45 minutes of the game. QB Gardner Minshew really struggled with his accuracy, going just 13/31 for 181 passing yards and a touchdown through the air. Leonard Fournette led the way on the ground, rushing for 71 yards on a team-high 15 carries. Chris Conley also chipped in, making two catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. As a whole, the Jaguars generated over 300 total yards of offense in the loss.
Jacksonville had a mediocre outing on the other side of the ball against the Falcons, surrendering over 500 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. The Jaguars had no answer for Atlanta WR Julio Jones, as he exploded for ten receptions and 166 receiving yards.
Free NFL Betting Predictions and Pick: Colts -4
I’m leaning slightly towards laying the four points and rolling with the road favorite in this AFC South clash, as Indianapolis has certainly been the much more consistent team on both sides of the ball so far this season. The Colts have also fared better against the spread through their first 15 games, going 7-6-2 ATS since the start of the year. Jacksonville has really been struggling offensively over the past month or so, scoring more than 20 points just once in their last eight outings overall.

While Indianapolis has won two out of the last three meetings with the Jaguars outright, they have really struggled against the spread in this rivalry in recent years. However, the Colts have gone a rock-solid 7-1 against the spread in their last eight battles against AFC South opponents. On the other side, Jacksonville is an embarrassing 1-6 against the spread over their last seven games overall. They are also just 1-4 ATS in their last five games at TIAA Bank Field. I’ll lay the four points and take a shot with Indianapolis to cover the number here in Week 17 – give me the Colts!
