The #22 overall Texas A&M Aggies (7-4) host the #7 overall LSU Tigers (9-2) on Saturday night in SEC action. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM EST at Kyle Field and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

Taking a look at the Week 13 college football odds, Texas A&M opened as a 1-point home favorite earlier this week. That line has shifted substantially after early betting, as the Aggies are currently listed at -2.5. The total for the game is sitting at 47 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Texas A&M vs LSU

LSU improved to 9-2 overall on the season last weekend after crushing Rice 42-10 at home. The Tigers were dominant on both sides of the ball, racking up 552 yards of total offense while only giving up 198 yards on defense. There certainly wasn’t much suspense in the second half, as the score was already 28-0 midway through the second quarter.  QB Joe Burrow is enjoying a quality year, throwing for 2,230 yard and nine touchdowns while adding 275 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground. RB Nick Brosette has been a beast on the ground, rushing for 861 yards and 13 touchdowns in just 11 games. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been pretty good as well, turning 133 carries into 623 yards and seven touchdowns. As a whole, LSU is currently averaging 28.1 points per game (75th overall) on 379.6 yards of total offense.

The Tigers have been fantastic defensively so far this season, allowing opponents to score an average of just 16.1 points per game (8th overall). They have been equally as impressive against both the pass and the run, ranking 32nd and 31st overall respectively.

Texas A&M won their second consecutive game last weekend, knocking off UAB 41-20 at home to improve to 7-4 on the year. The Aggies scored 27 consecutive points after the Blazers tied the game 7-7 early in the 1st quarter to really put the game out of reach. QB Kellen Mond has really played well this season, throwing for 2,680 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has also chipped in on the ground, rushing for 347 yards and five touchdowns. He has had a ton of help from RB Trayveon Williams, who has been an absolute beast out of the backfield. Williams has carried the ball a team-high 217 times for 1,326 yards and 13 touchdowns. WR Jace Sternberger has also been a game-breaker for Texas A&M, catching 42 passes for 729 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Overall, the offense is currently averaging 31.1 points per game (50th overall).

The Aggies have looked pretty solid on the defensive side of the ball this year, limiting opponents to just 22.2 points per game (36th overall). They have been absolutely fantastic against the run, giving up only 82.8 yards per game on the ground (2nd overall).

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: LSU +2.5

I know that Texas A&M has been fantastic at home this year, going 5-1 in six games at Kyle Field. However, LSU still has everything to play for, as they currently have an outside shot at making the College Football Playoff if they take care of business on the road this weekend. The Tigers have been one of the best defensive teams in the country the entire season, while the Aggies defense seems to consistently give up 26-30 points to good teams – Auburn, Mississippi State, and Clemson all scored exactly 28 and went a perfect 3-0. They also gave up 45 points to Alabama, while LSU played poorly and only gave up 29.

The Tigers are a very impressive 4-1 ATS over their last five road games against teams with a winning home record. They are also 10-3 ATS in their last 13 conference games and 3-0-1 ATS over their last four games overall. Texas A&M is just 6-16 ATS in their last 22 games in the month of November.

However, the biggest factor for my decision in this particular spot has been the absolute dominance shown by LSU over the last 5-10 meetings between these two rivals. The Tigers are a ridiculous 7-0-1 ATS over their last eight games against Texas A&M. They are also 3-0-1 ATS in their last four trips to Kyle Field. The free points are just a bonus in this spot, as I think LSU wins this game outright to keep their playoff hopes alive – give me the road underdog.
