The #14 overall Michigan Wolverines (6-2) travel to College Park this weekend for a BIG 10 East battle against the Maryland Terrapins (3-5). Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM EST on November 2nd at Maryland Stadium and the game will be nationally televised on ABC.

Taking a look at the Week 10 college football odds, Michigan opened as a 18-point road favorite earlier this week. That spread hasn’t moved at all after early betting, as the Wolverines are currently available at -18. The total for the game is sitting at 55.5 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Maryland vs Michigan

Michigan has now won four out of their last five games after a very impressive 45-14 home win over #16 overall Notre Dame. The Wolverines scored 17 unanswered points in the first half and never looked back, giving up just two touchdowns all game. QB Shea Patterson didn’t have to do all that much through the air, going 6/12 for 100 yards and two touchdowns. The duo of Hassan Haskins and Zach Charbonnet was dominant on the ground, combining for 223 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Mike Sainristil led the way for the receiving corps, making three catches for 73 yards and a touchdown. As a whole, Michigan generated almost 450 total yards of offense and scored six touchdowns in the blowout victory.

The Wolverines had a very impressive outing on the other side of the ball against Notre Dame, giving up well under 200 total yards and just two touchdowns. Michigan was especially solid on the ground, as the Fighting Irish only managed to gain 51 rushing yards all game.

Maryland lost their third straight game last weekend, falling 52-10 at home against #13 overall Minnesota to drop to 3-5 on the season overall. The Terrapins gave up 14 unanswered points in the first quarter and never recovered, giving up 38 more points the rest of the way en route to an embarrassing defeat. QB Tyrrell Pigrome really struggled through the air, going only 6/9 for 43 passing yards and getting picked off twice. Tyler DeSue recorded the only passing touchdown of the game for the offense, throwing for 88 yards but completing just 33% of his attempts. Javon Leake led the way on the ground, averaging 6.3 yards per carry. Overall, Maryland gained just over 200 total yards of offense and found the end zone just once against a rock-solid Golden Gophers defense.

The Terps were brutal defensively against Minnesota, getting torched for almost 500 total yards of offense and six touchdowns. Maryland had no answer for the Golden Gophers on the ground, as they racked up four rushing touchdowns and well over 300 yards.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Michigan -18

I think that the Wolverines offer pretty decent value in this BIG 10 East clash, as they really looked fantastic in Week 9 against Notre Dame. Michigan clearly dominated both sides of the ball in the victory, which certainly bodes well for them heading into this matchup with a below average Maryland team. The Terrapins have really struggled as of late, giving up 126 total points over their last three games combined. While their offense has at least kept them somewhat competitive, they could be in tough on Saturday facing a Wolverines defense that has given up 14 points or less three times this year already.

It is also important to note that Michigan has absolutely crushed the Terps against the spread as of late, going 4-1 ATS over their last five meetings. The Wolverines are also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall. On the other side, Maryland is a brutal 1-8 outright over their last nine meetings with opponents from the BIG 10 conference. They are also just 2-4 against the spread in their last six games overall. I’ll eat the chalk and roll with the big road favorite here in Week 10 – give me the Wolverines to cover the number!
