Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Michigan vs Ohio State
Ohio State stayed unbeaten on the season last weekend after an impressive 28-17 home win against #12 overall Penn State. The Buckeyes scored 14 unanswered points in the first half and managed to hold on down the stretch despite getting outscored 17-14 over the final two quarters of the game. QB Justin Fields went 16/22 for 188 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air while also adding 68 rushing yards on 21 carries on the ground. RB J.K. Dobbins also chipped in, racking up 157 rushing yards and two touchdowns on a game-high 36 carries. K.J. hill found the end zone as well, hitting pay dirt on one of his four receptions for 46 yards. As a whole, Ohio State generated well over 400 total yards of offense and scored four touchdowns in the victory.
The Buckeyes had a pretty decent outing on the other side of the ball against Penn State, giving up under 250 total yards of offense and only two touchdowns. Ohio State was especially strong defending against the pass, allowing just 128 yards through the air while also forcing an interception.
Michigan won their fourth game in a row in Week 13, crushing Indiana 39-14 on the road to move to 9-2 on the season overall. The Wolverines had a 21-14 lead at the half before exploding for 18 unanswered points in the third quarter en route to a double-digit victory. QB Shea Patterson was fantastic, going 20/32 for 366 passing yards and five touchdowns through the air. Zach Charbonnet and Hassan Haskins couldn’t get much going on the ground, combing for only 90 rushing yards. Nico Collins absolutely torched the Hoosiers secondary, exploding for 165 receiving yards and three touchdowns on just six catches. Overall, Michigan gained over 450 total yards of offense and found the end zone five times against a shell-shocked Hoosiers defense.
The Wolverines were pretty solid defensively against Indiana, surrendering just over 300 total yards of offense and only two touchdowns. Michigan really did a great job against the run, holding the Hoosiers to 97 net rushing yards.
NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Ohio State -9
It’s hard not to like the Buckeyes against the spread in this particular spot, especially since the same Penn State squad they just beat by double-digits last weekend knocked off the Wolverines 28-21 back in mid-October. Ohio State is now ranked at the very top of the College Football Playoff standings with only a couple of games left on the schedule. It is imperative that the Buckeyes win their next two games to avoid having to face Clemson or LSU as a #2 or #3 seed, so they will need to be at their absolute best on the road here in Week 14. Michigan would like nothing more than to knock off their biggest rival on Saturday afternoon, especially after the 62-39 beatdown they took from Ohio State in 2018.

I also don’t mind the OVER on 50.5 total points scored as well, as the total has now gone OVER in seven of the last ten meetings between these two programs. The OVER has also come through in three out of Ohio State’s last four road games and in four out of Michigan’s last six outings at the Big House. However, even though I am also taking the OVER on 50.5, my favorite play in this matchup is Ohio State against the spread. The Buckeyes are a rock solid 8-2 against the spread over their last ten games overall and 12-6 ATS in their last 18 battles with the Wolverines. They have also gone 8-2 against the spread in their last ten meetings with BIG 10 opponents. Give me Ohio State to cover and move to 12-0 overall!
