49ers vs Cardinals Game Odds & Betting Preview

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals lost their third straight game last weekend, falling 30-27 on the road against Tampa Bay to drop to just 3-6-1 on the season overall. Arizona pulled back to even on the scoreboard in the third quarter but couldn’t hang on down the stretch, getting outscored 10-7 over the final 15 minutes of the game. QB Kyler Murray went 27/44 for 324 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air while also leading the way on the ground with 38 rushing yards. WR Christian Kirk absolutely torched a weak Buccaneers secondary, making six catches for 138 yards and three touchdowns. As a whole, the Cardinals generated over 400 total yards of offense and found the end zone three times despite coming up just short on the scoreboard.

Arizona wasn’t that great defensively against the Bucs, giving up almost 500 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. The Cardinals did force two interceptions but still gave up 358 yards through the air to a formidable Tampa Bay passing attack.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers suffered their first loss of the season in Week 10, falling 27-24 in overtime against Seattle on Monday Night Football. San Francisco jumped out to an early 10-0 lead but gave up 21 unanswered points over the next two quarters. After scoring two late touchdowns to force extra time, the home team couldn’t find a way to stop Russell Wilson from driving down the field to set up a winning field goal. QB Jimmy Garoppolo went 24/46 for 248 passing yards and a touchdown through the air but also got picked off once. None of the running backs really got anything going, combining for only 86 rushing yards. Deebo Samuel led the way for the receiving corps, making eight catches for 112 yards. Overall, the 49ers gained over 300 total yards and scored one touchdown on offense in the loss.

San Francisco had an average outing on the other side of the ball in Week 10, allowing just two touchdowns despite giving up well over 350 total yards of offense. The 49ers struggled to contain Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister, as he hauled in eight receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Free NFL Betting Predictions and Pick: Cardinals +10

I actually don’t really mind two plays from this NFC West battle, as there appears to be some value to be found with Arizona against the spread and the OVER on 44 total points. It always helps when you have some previous history to look at, especially when less than a month has elapsed since acquiring the data. These two division rivals already met in late October, as Arizona almost pulled off an upset after scoring 11 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Despite the loss, the Cardinals certainly gave San Francisco a run for their money, losing by just a single field goal. While the 49ers are at home here in Week 11, I still think this spread is a little bit too large. Although Arizona is only 3-6-1 outright through their first ten games of the season, they have also gone a very solid 7-3 against the spread.

I also think that the total for this matchup is currently a bit too low, as the Cardinals have combined with their opponents to score at least 46 points in five out of their last six outings. On the other side, San Francisco has been involved in three straight matchups that produced at least 51 combined points. Finally, the total has gone OVER in two out of the last three meetings between these NFC West rivals, with Arizona going a perfect 3-0 against the spread over that same time span. I’ll roll with the OVER on 44 total points scored while also taking the Cardinals to cover the spread on the road here in Week 11 against a very tough 49ers squad.
