The Kansas Jayhawks (3-6) travel to Stillwater this weekend for a BIG 12 battle against the #25 overall Oklahoma State Cowboys (6-3). Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM EST on November 16th at Boone Pickens Stadium and the game will be televised on FS1.
Taking a look at the Week 12 college football odds, Oklahoma State opened as a 18-point home favorite earlier this week. The spread has come down by over a full point after early betting, as the Cowboys are currently available at -16.5. The total for the game is sitting at 67 points.
Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Oklahoma State vs Kansas
Kansas couldn’t find a way to get past Kansas State their last time out, getting crushed 38-10 at home to fall to 3-6 on the season overall. The Jayhawks trailed 17-3 at the half and never recovered, scoring just a single touchdown the entire game. QB Carter Stanley really struggled through the air, going 13/23 for 115 passing yards and also getting picked off twice. Pooka Williams Jr. led the way on the ground, rushing for 61 yards on a team-high 14 carries. Stephon Robinson Jr. also chipped in, hauling in four catches for 62 receiving yards. As a whole, Kansas gained under 250 yards of total offense against a rock-solid Wildcats defense.
The Jayhawks also had a rough outing on the other side of the ball against Kansas State, surrendering over 450 yards of total offense and three touchdowns. Kansas had no answer for Wildcats QB Skylar Thompson on the ground, as he torched the defense for 127 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries.
Oklahoma State has now won two straight games after knocking off TCU 34-27 their last time out to improve to 6-3 on the season overall. The Cowboys scored seven unanswered points in the third quarter and never looked back, hanging on down the stretch for a hard-fought victory. QB Spencer Sanders went 9/15 for 158 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air while Chuba Hubbard exploded for 223 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Dillon Stoner also enjoyed a multi-touchdown outing, finding the end zone twice on two of his three catches for 93 receiving yards. Overall, Oklahoma State generated well over 450 total yards of offense and scored four touchdowns in the win.
The Cowboys weren’t that great defensively against TCU, allowing the Horned Frogs to gain close to 450 total yards of offense. Oklahoma State really struggled to slow down Horned Frogs WR Jalen Reagor, as he made seven receptions for 128 yards.
NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: OVER 67
I actually like a couple of plays from this BIG 12 showdown on Saturday afternoon, as I think that the Cowboys should be able to win this game outright while also finding a way to cover the spread. Oklahoma State has really been playing well recently, especially on offense where they have scored at least 34 points in three out of their last four games. OSU has also fared pretty well against the spread so far this season, going 7-2 ATS over their first nine outings. They have also covered the number in two out of their last three home games as well. However, I think that the OVER on 67 total points scored is probably the best value in this particular spot, as Kansas has been absolutely terrible defensively. In fact, the Jayhawks have now given up 167 total points over their last four outings combined – well over 40 points per game.

The TCU Horned Frogs scored 51 points against Kansas when they met back in late September, which certainly doesn’t bode well for the Jayhawks heading into a matchup with a more well-rounded OSU offense. Heisman hopeful Chuba Hubbard should have another monster outing against a terrible Kansas run defense that just got torched for well over 300 rushing yards and five touchdowns against Kansas State. Of course, the Jayhawks should also find a way to get into the end zone multiple times against an Oklahoma State defense that has given up 27+ points in four straight games. While I’m still going to take the Cowboys to cover the spread at home here in Week 12, my favorite play is definitely the OVER on 67 total points scored in what should be a highly entertaining BIG 12 battle.
