The #21 overall Oklahoma State Cowboys (8-3) host the #7 overall Oklahoma Sooners (10-1) this weekend for the latest installment of the Bedlam Series. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM EST on November 30th at Boone Pickens Stadium and the game will be nationally televised on FOX.

Taking a look at the Week 14 college football odds, Oklahoma opened as a 13.5-point road favorite earlier this week. The spread has come down by half a point after early betting, as the Sooners are currently available at -13. The total for the game is sitting at 69 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Oklahoma State vs Oklahoma

Oklahoma won their third straight game last weekend, beating TCU 28-24 at home to improve to 10-1 on the season overall. The Sooners scored 14 unanswered points in the first quarter and managed to hold on in the second half despite getting outscored 14-7 down the stretch. QB Jalen Hurts wasn’t at his best through the air, going 11/21 for 145 passing yards and two touchdowns but also getting picked off once as well. Hurts did have a very strong showing on the ground, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns on a team-high 28 carries. Charleston Rambo led the way for the receiving corps, hauling in six catches for 77 yards. As a whole, Oklahoma generated well over 500 total yards of offense and found the end zone four times in the victory.

The Sooners had a solid outing on the other side of the ball against TCU, giving up just over 200 total yards of offense and two touchdowns. Oklahoma did a great job defending against the pass, allowing only 65 yards through the air and forcing an interception.

Oklahoma State has now won four consecutive games after a hard-fought 20-13 road win against West Virginia last weekend. The Cowboys gave up an early lead but managed to pull off an impressive comeback in the fourth quarter, scoring ten unanswered points en route to their eight victory of the season. QB Dru Brown went 22/29 for 196 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air while RB Chuba Hubbard racked up 106 rushing yards on a game-high 26 carries. Hubbard also chipped in catching passes out of the backfield, making seven receptions for 88 yards. Overall, Oklahoma State gained just under 300 total yards of offense and scored two touchdowns in the win.

The Cowboys were very good defensively against West Virginia, surrendering just a single touchdown despite letting the Mountaineers rack up over 300 total yards of offense. However, Oklahoma State did have a difficult time trying to slow down WR George Campbell, as he made five catches for 92 yards and a touchdown.

While I also don’t mind the OVER on 69 total points scored, my favorite play in this massive BIG 12 showdown is the home underdog against the spread. Oklahoma hasn’t exactly been blowing teams out of the water over the past month or so, losing to Kansas State and beating Iowa State, Baylor, and TCU by just a combined eight points. Even though I still think that the Sooners will find a way to win this matchup outright, I like the Cowboys to keep things interesting on Saturday evening. Oklahoma State really performed well against the same schools that have given Oklahoma trouble, beating Kansas State by almost two full touchdowns while also beating TCU and Iowa State by seven points in back to back weeks.

The Cowboys have also been the far superior team against the spread this season, going a rock-solid 9-2 ATS through their first eleven games. It has been a much different story for Oklahoma, as they are only 4-7 against the spread over that same time span. The Sooners have also really struggled on the road, failing to cover the number in three out of their last four outings. It is also important to note that Oklahoma State performed extremely well in the last meeting between these two state rivals, coming up just short in a heartbreaking 48-47 loss on the road despite being a 21.5 point underdog prior to kickoff. I’m going to take the boatload of points and take a shot with the Cowboys at home here in Week 14 – give me Oklahoma State to cover!
