Packers vs Seahawks Game Odds & Betting Preview
The Seahawks managed to get past Philadelphia on the road last weekend, beating the Eagles 17-9 to advance to the second round. Seattle jumped out to an early 10-3 lead and never looked back, holding Philadelphia to only six points over the final 30 minutes of the game. QB Russell Wilson went 18/30 for 325 passing yards and a touchdown through the air while also racking up 45 rushing yards on nine carries on the ground. Marshawn Lynch found the end zone despite averaging only 1.2 yards per carry but it was D.K. Metcalf who was the star of the game offensively. Metcalf absolutely torched the secondary, hauling in seven receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown. Overall, the Seahawks generated nearly 400 total yards of offense and scored two touchdowns in the win.
Seattle was very impressive on the other side of the ball against the Eagles, giving up under 300 total yards of offense and no touchdowns. The Seahawks were especially strong defending against the run, as they kept all Philadelphia rushers under an average of five yards per carry on the ground.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers closed the regular season with five straight wins to finish the year 13-3 overall and lock up yet another NFC North division crown. Green Bay needed a win over Detroit their last time out to lock up a first round bye, so Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the offense saw a normal workload. Rodgers went 27/55 for 323 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air while RB Aaron Jones rushed for 100 yards on a game-high 25 carries. Davante Adams and Allen Lazard led the way for the receiving corps, combining for 162 yards and two touchdowns on eleven catches. As a whole, the Packers gained nearly 450 total yards of offense and scored two touchdowns in the victory.
Green Bay was slightly above average in terms of scoring defense this year, yielding an average of less than 20 points per game. However, the Packers weren’t nearly as impressive defending against the run, surrendering an average of 120 yards per game on the ground.
Free NFL Betting Predictions and Pick: UNDER 46.5
I really don’t have a strong lean against the spread in this NFC showdown, as Seattle clearly has a ton of momentum going right now but is a dreadful 0-5 against the spread over their last five trips to Lambeau Field. While I am at least somewhat tempted by the 4.5 points and the surging road underdog, the only play I am seriously considering in this particular spot is the UNDER on 46.5 total points scored. There are numerous reports of severe weather prior to kickoff, so the elements could definitely play a big factor in this matchup if the reports of snow are accurate. The UNDER has also hit in each of the Packers last four games, with the average combined score being well under 40 total points.

It is important to note that these two NFC rivals have been involved in their fair share of low scoring battles together at Lambeau Field in recent years, as the total has now gone UNDER in two out of the last three games between Seattle and Green Bay on the frozen Wisconsin tundra. Of course, the UNDER has also come through in nine out of Green Bay’s last 12 games against NFC West opponents and five out of Seattle’s last seven games against NFC North opponents as well. I’ll avoid guessing against a pretty efficient looking spread in favor of the UNDER on 46.5 total points scored in the final game of the Divisional Round on Sunday evening.
