Pinnacle is the gold-standard in the sportsbook industry. They have an incredible reputation that has been built over more than two decades in the business. This book has an impeccable payout record. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to find a review about them anywhere online that does not rate them as one of, if not the, best places in the world to place bets online.
Pinnacle’s motto is that “winners are welcome”. This might sound like a throwaway line, but it’s really not. More often than not, if a book finds your winning too much, they may restrict your action or close your account altogether. While the majority of players need not worry about this, if you are serious sharp bettor that follows line movement and is looking for maximum value, you want to make absolutely sure that your action will be allowed. This, along with some of the highest limits available and reduced juice options, makes Pinnacle a must for high rollers.
The bad news is that Pinnacle left the US market (as well as others) in 2007. While it is possible they will return in the future, if you are located in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Turkey, the Netherlands, Denmark, or several other countries, you won’t be able to open an account. This is a shame, however, if you have access to this book, you’ll have a leg up on almost every other bettor on the planet.
As long as you have access, Pinnacle is our #1 sportsbook choice – and most serious players in the industry would agree. The country restrictions are really the only knock against it. Its reputation really does speak for itself and we highly recommend it. Our review of Pinnacle will cover deposit and withdrawal options, limits, odds, customer service, and much more.
You have numerous options for making and receiving payments from Pinnacle. Your options will be determined by the currency you choose when you open a new account. Find more details by visiting their payment options page and selecting your currency.
Bitcoin – Bitcoin offers a fast, easy, secure, and anonymous way to fund your betting account. Transactions get confirmed quickly (30-60 minutes). You’ll also get monster limits when you pay with bitcoin. Transaction limits are up to $10,000 every 24 hours. After your free payout you’ll pay a flat $15 fee every time you make a withdrawal. There is a $10 minimum for deposits and withdrawals. All bitcoin deposits are free, and you receive one free payout per month at a max of $2,750 taken out every 24 hours. Need higher limits? No problem! Just email [email protected] to find out how to deposit more.
New to bitcoin? We’ve got a handy bitcoin buying guide to help you get started.
Credit Card – Almost everyone has access to credit card and Pinnacle is happy to fund your account with yours. Deposits are free and are confirmed within minutes (though they do note there are rare occasions where processing can take up to five days). Limits are a bit different than bitcoin with a minimum deposit requirement of around $25 USD and a minimum withdrawal of $100.
For withdrawals using a credit card you’ll also get one free transaction per month, then pay $15 for each additional one that month. The maximum amount you can be paid out this way is $2,300 every 24 hours.
Bonus hunters won’t find anything to nab at Pinnacle as they’ve chosen to offer reduced juice and the best odds online instead of trying to bring in smaller players with huge bonus offers. This might be seen as a negative for new players, but serious bettors realize that the reduced vig is worth far more in the long run than an up-front deposit bonus.
At Pinnacle you will never be at a loss for something to bet on. They offer a huge variety of sports, politics, and entertainment to wager on. Here’s a list of the sports/events offered. Be sure to visit their betting rules section for details specific to each option.
Pinnacle’s wager limits are the highest in the industry. They believe it is important to offer high limits to benefit customers and attract the sharpest bettors. This gives them the unique ability to be able to create the closest thing we have to fair market odds compared to any sportsbook.

What’s great is that Pinnacle has also been known to increase these limits dramatically during high profile events. During the 2014 World Cup, limits were raised to $1,000,000!
This book is not shy about advertising that their odds are unbeatable in the industry. This isn’t just some clever promotion, it’s the truth. Because they gear their service toward high-limit, more professional bettors, they are able to adjust their margin to the lowest levels available online. Most books hover between 6%-10% margin (the amount they are “guaranteed” to make if action on both sides is equal), while Pinnacle offers and average margin of 3%, with those numbers creeping closer to 2% for major soccer leagues and professional football and basketball.
Taken at face value, 3%-7% might not seem like that much of a difference, however, when you compound that effect over hundreds or thousands of bets, you can quickly see just how much more you stand to win by betting through Pinnacle versus one of their competitors.
The parlay (also known as accumulator) offerings at Pinnacle are on par with most of the industry. Remember that these numbers are influenced by the price on the games you are betting, so the table below only reflects what the payouts would be on standard pricing.
As far as limits go, the maximum is the highest we’ve seen anywhere with a payout limit of $250,000. On their site they mention the highest they’ve ever paid out is $120,000, so that max has yet to come into play! The minimum bet on a parlay is just $1.
You will find good teaser options at Pinnacle, in fact, they are better than many of their competitors. Below you will find the payouts based on the number of teams in both football and basketball.

As far as customer service goes, Pinnacle takes a straightforward approach, but you are limited in your methods of contact. They don’t list a contact phone number, but they have a contact form on the site, or you can email directly to [email protected].
This is not an issue for most customers, however, some users still do prefer to do business over the phone. Unfortunately if that is your preference, you should seek an account elsewhere.
We did find their customer service representatives helpful and responsive for the questions we tested, it just takes a little more patience than what you might be used to.
Pinnacle gets our highest recommendation in terms of what really matters with an online sportsbook, and that is the odds they offer, the high limits they allow, and their reliability for payouts.
The only minor gripe is with the limited customer service options, however, if that is the only thing that is holding you back you should probably reconsider.
The major problem is access. Seeing is how Pinnacle is only available in a few select markets, not that many of our customers will find opening an account as an option for them. It’s a shame, but our hope is that either they expand to more markets in the near future or you are in a spot that allows you access to one of the top online betting sites in the industry.
