The Purdue Boilermakers (4-7) host the Indiana Hoosiers (7-4) this weekend for an all-BIG 10 battle over the Old Oaken Bucket. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM EST on November 30th at Ross-Ade Stadium and the game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Taking a look at the Week 14 college football odds, Indiana opened as a 6.5-point road favorite earlier this week. The spread hasn’t moved at all after early betting, as the Hoosiers are currently available at -6.5. The total for the game is sitting at 57 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Purdue vs Indiana

Indiana lost their second straight game last weekend, falling 39-14 at home against #10 overall Michigan. The Hoosiers gave up 18 unanswered points in the third quarter and never recovered, getting completely shutout on offense over the final 30 minutes of the game. QB Peyton Ramsey went 17/29 for 217 passing yards but failed to find the end zone through the air while RB Stevie Scott rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. Peyton Hendershot also chipped in, making six receptions for 62 yards. Overall, Indiana generated over 300 total yards of offense and scored two touchdowns against a rock-solid Wolverines defense.

The Hoosiers didn’t have a great outing on the other side of the ball against Michigan, surrendering well over 400 total yards of offense and five touchdowns. Indiana had no answer for Wolverines QB Shea Patterson through the air, as he passed for 366 yards and five touchdowns.

Purdue saw their modest two game winning streak come to an end last weekend after a tough 45-24 loss against #13 overall Wisconsin on the road. The Boilermakers trailed by just a touchdown at the half but fell apart over the final two quarters, getting outscored 21-7 en route to a double-digit defeat. QB Aidan O’Connell went 26/43 for 289 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air but also got picked off once as well. Brycen Hopkins and David Bell ran circles around the Badgers secondary, combining for 235 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 20 catches. As a whole, Purdue gained over 350 total yards of offense and found the end zone three times despite coming up well short on the scoreboard.

The Boilermakers struggled defensively against Wisconsin, getting lit up for over 600 total yards of offense and six touchdowns. Purdue couldn’t find a way to contain Badgers RB Jonathan Taylor, as he racked up 222 rushing yards and a touchdown on a game-high 28 carries.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Indiana -6.5

I think that the Hoosiers offer pretty strong value against the spread here in Week 14, as Purdue really hasn’t played well through their first eleven games. The Boilermakers are just 4-7 against the spread so far this season, which certainly doesn’t bode well for them in this spot considering that Indiana has covered the number in three out of their last four road games. The Hoosiers also crushed Northwestern 34-3 at the beginning of November, the same team that Purdue beat by just two points the following weekend. It isn’t like the Boilermakers have been more consistent at home so far this year either, as they are only 2-3 ATS in five outings at Ross-Ade Stadium.

Indiana is a rock-solid 6-2 against the spread over their last eight games overall. They are also an impressive 5-2 against the spread in their last seven meetings with an opponent from the BIG 10. On the other side, Purdue has failed to cover the number in two out of their last three BIG 10 battles at home. As long as this spread doesn’t move above a full touchdown before kickoff, I’m all over the Hoosiers on the road on Saturday afternoon. I’ll lay the 6.5 points and take a shot with the road favorite – give me Indiana to cover and take down the Old Oaken Bucket in style!
