Rams vs Cardinals Game Odds & Betting Preview
The Cardinals have now won back to back games after upsetting Seattle 27-13 on the road last weekend for their fifth win of the season. Arizona scored ten unanswered points in the second quarter and never looked back, giving up just six points over the final 45 minutes of the game. QB Kyler Murray went 11/18 for 118 passing yards and a touchdown through the air while also adding 40 rushing yards on the ground. RB Kenyan Drake was a monster out of the backfield, racking up 166 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. Larry Fitzgerald Jr. also chipped in, making four catches for 48 yards and a score. As a whole, the Cardinals gained over 325 total yards of offense and found the end zone three times in the impressive victory.
Arizona played well defensively against the Seahawks, giving up well under 300 total yards of offense and just a single touchdown. The Cardinals were especially impressive defending against the run, allowing only 91 rushing yards on the ground.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams lost their second straight game last weekend, falling 34-31 on the road against San Francisco to drop to 8-7 on the season overall. Los Angeles trailed by just a single field goal at the half but couldn’t find a way to pull off a comeback over the final two quarters. QB Jared Goff went 27/46 for 323 passing yards and a touchdown through the air but also got picked off once as well. RB Todd Gurley rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns on the ground while Robert Woods exploded for 117 receiving yards on eight catches. Overall, the Rams generated almost 400 total yards of offense and scored four touchdowns despite coming up just short on the scoreboard.
Los Angeles had a rough outing on the other side of the ball against the 49ers, surrendering nearly 400 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. The Rams had no answer for San Francisco TE George Kittle, allowing him to turn just five catches into 79 yards and a touchdown.
Free NFL Betting Predictions and Pick: UNDER 49
With both teams officially eliminated from the playoffs, these two NFC West rivals are only playing for pride here in Week 17. I really don’t see a ton of value against the spread with either side, as Los Angeles should find a way to win this game outright but may find it difficult to cover the number. The Cardinals have played pretty well as of late, finally breaking out of a two-month downswing with consecutive victories. However, Kyler Murray was forced to leave the game against Seattle early due to a hamstring injury. Murray is officially listed as questionable, although he has been extremely limited in practice this week. Therefore, the only play I am really considering in this matchup is the UNDER on 49 total points scored in what could be a low-scoring battle.

It is important to note that these two AFC North rivals have been involved in plenty of low scoring battles in recent years, as the total has now gone UNDER in seven out of their last ten meetings. The UNDER has also come through in five out of the Rams last seven home games. Finally, the UNDER has hit in five out of their last seven battles against NFC opponents as well. I’m going to avoid throwing darts against an efficient spread in favor of the UNDER on 49 total points scored on Sunday afternoon.
