Saints vs Colts Game Odds & Betting Preview
The Colts dropped their third game in a row last weekend, falling 38-35 on the road against Tampa Bay to drop back to 6-7 on the season overall. Indianapolis led 27-21 at the half but couldn’t find a way to hold on down the stretch, getting outscored 17-8 over the final two quarters of the game. QB Jacoby Brissett went 19/36 for 251 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air while RB Marlon Mack found the end zone on the ground despite only averaging 2.9 yards per carry on a team-high 13 totes. Marcus Johnson led the way for the receiving corps, exploding for 105 yards and a touchdown on just three catches. Overall, the Colts generated over 300 total yards and found the end zone three times on offense despite coming up just short on the scoreboard.
Indianapolis was brutal defensively against the Buccaneers, surrendering over 550 total yards of offense and five touchdowns. However, the Colts did record three interceptions and hold Tampa Bay to only 75 net rushing yards the entire game.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints dropped to 10-3 overall last weekend after coming out on the wrong end of a 48-46 offensive shootout against San Francisco. New Orleans gave up four touchdowns in the first half alone and never fully recovered despite racking up 19 total points over the final 30 minutes of the game. QB Drew Brees was fantastic, going 29/40 for 349 passing yards and five touchdowns through the air. RB Latavius Murray led the way on the ground, rushing for 69 yards on just seven carries. Michael Thomas and Jared Cook absolutely torched the 49ers secondary, combining for 198 receiving yards and three touchdowns. As a whole, the Saints gained almost 500 total yards of offense and scored six touchdowns in the loss.
New Orleans had a terrible outing on the other side of the ball against the 49ers, getting lit up for almost 550 total yards of offense and six touchdowns. The Saints had no answer for San Francisco WR Emmanuel Sanders, allowing him to haul in seven receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
Free NFL Betting Predictions and Pick: Saints -8.5
I’m leaning slightly towards rolling with the Saints at home in this primetime clash on Monday night, as the Colts don’t appear to have any shot at making the postseason after losing three straight games. Indianapolis has really struggled defensively over their downswing, giving up at least 30 points in two out of those three losses. That definitely spells trouble for them here in Week 15 going up against a New Orleans offense that has recorded 106 total points over just their last three outings combined.

It is also important to note that New Orleans has dominated the Colts against the spread over the past decade or so, going a rock-solid 7-2 against the spread over the last eight meetings between these two teams. The Saints are also a very impressive 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games overall and 8-3 ATS over their last 11 battles against AFC South opponents as well. On the other side, Indianapolis has only managed to win twice in their last ten visits to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. I’ll eat the chalk and roll with the home favorite in this matchup, as I think New Orleans will find a way to win this game by at least two possessions – give me the Saints to cover!
