The South Carolina Gamecocks (4-7) host the #3 overall Clemson Tigers (11-0) this weekend for an inter-conference showdown from Columbia. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM EST on November 30th at Williams-Brice Stadium and the game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

Taking a look at the Week 14 college football odds, Clemson opened as a 25-point road favorite earlier this week. The spread has moved up by a full point after early betting, as the Tigers are currently available at -26. The total for the game is sitting at 50.5 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: South Carolina vs Clemson

Clemson remained unbeaten last weekend, crushing Wake Forest 52-3 at home to move to 11-0 on the season overall. The Tigers jumped out to an early 31-3 lead in the first half and never looked back, completing shutting out the Demon Deacons offense over the final two quarters of the game. QB Trevor Lawrence was fantastic, going 21/27 for 272 passing yards and four touchdowns through the air while RB Travis Etienne racked up 121 rushing yards and a score on a team-high 16 carries. WR Tee Higgins was basically unstoppable, making four catches for 64 yards and three touchdowns. As a whole, Clemson generated over 500 total yards and found the end zone seven time on offense in the win.

The Tigers obviously had a fantastic outing on the other side of the ball against Wake Forest, giving up just over 100 total yards of offense and one field goal. Clemson was especially impressive defending against the pass, recording two interceptions and only allowing 41 yards through the air.

South Carolina has now lost two games in a row after falling 30-6 on the road against Texas A&M to drop to just 4-7 overall. The Gamecocks gave up ten unanswered points in the second quarter and never recovered, getting outscored 17-3 over the final 30 minutes en route to a double-digit loss. QB Ryan Hilinski wasn’t at his best, going just 16/41 for 175 passing yards. RB Rico Dowdle couldn’t find much room on the ground, rushing for only 12 yards on seven carries. Kyle Markway led the way for the receiving corps, hauling in five receptions for 47 yards. Overall, South Carolina gained over 250 total yards of offense but failed to score a single touchdown in the blowout loss.

The Gamecocks didn’t play all that well defensively against Texas A&M, surrendering almost 550 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. South Carolina had no answer for Aggies RB Cordarrian Richardson, as he racked up 130 rushing yards and a touchdown on just six carries.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: OVER 50.5

While I also don’t mind taking the Tigers to cover the spread, my favorite play in this particular spot is the OVER on 50.5 total points scored. Clemson has now scored at least 50 points in four consecutive games and has only been held under 40 points twice in their first eleven games. Alabama put up 47 points against the Gamecocks defense back in September, so it seems pretty likely that the Tigers offense should have similar success here in Week 14. South Carolina also scored at least a couple of touchdowns against both the Crimson Tide and #4 overall Georgia, so the current total appears to be just a touch low assuming they can repeat those previous performances on Saturday afternoon.

The Gamecocks have had more than their fair share of high scoring games at home so far this year, as the total has now gone OVER in three out of their last four outings at Williams-Brice Stadium. The OVER has come through in two out of the last three meetings between these two teams as well, including a 91-point shootout last November despite the total being just 58.5 points prior to kickoff. Finally, the OVER has also hit in three out of the last four conference games that South Carolina has played at home. I’ll take a shot with the OVER on 50.5 in this matchup, as both offenses should find a way to do enough damage to push the total beyond the current number.
