Taking a look at the Week 7 college football odds, Alabama opened as a 18.5-point road favorite earlier this week. That spread has come down by over a full point after early betting, as the Crimson Tide are currently listed at -17. The total for the game is sitting at 61.5 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Texas A&M vs Alabama

Alabama moved to 5-0 on the season overall their last time out, beating Mississippi 59-31 at home to remain undefeated through their first five games. The Crimson Tide actually trailed by a field goal at the end of the first quarter before exploding for 52 points over the final 45 minutes. QB Tua Tagovailoa went 26/36 for 418 yards and six touchdowns through the air while also adding another score on the ground. RB Najee Harris chipped it with 71 rushing yards on nine carries while WR Devonta Smith racked up a ridiculous 274 yards and five touchdowns on a team-high 11 receptions. Overall, Alabama generated almost 600 total yards of offense and found the end zone seven times against a shell-shocked Rebels defense.

The Crimson Tide weren’t nearly as sharp on the other side of the ball, giving up well over 450 yards of offense and four touchdowns. Alabama really had a difficult time slowing down Ole Miss QB John Rhys Plumlee, who torched them for 141 yards and two touchdowns through the air in addition to 109 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Texas A&M now sits with a 3-2 record on the year after a hard-fought 31-27 road victory over Arkansas. The Aggies were up 21-17 at the half before managing to hold on down the stretch despite allowing seven unanswered points in the third quarter. QB Kellen Mond went 23/35 for 251 yards and three touchdowns through the air while also adding a team-high 14 carries for 33 rushing yards. Jhamon Ausbon and Ainias Smith combined for 162 receiving yards and one touchdown on 12 catches. As a whole, Texas A&M gained just under 350 total yards of offense and scored four touchdowns in the win.

The Aggies had a below average outing defensively in Week 5, giving up almost 400 total yards and two touchdowns. Texas A&M struggled to defend against the pass, as the Razorbacks passed for almost 300 yards despite finding the end zone through the air just once.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Alabama -17

This looks to be one of the premiere matchups on the entire schedule here in Week 7, as both of these programs are currently ranked inside the AP Top-25. Of course, Alabama is an absolute juggernaut again this year and are definitely the clear favorites to finish #1 overall at the end of the regular season. However, Texas A&M really needs to have a strong showing against the Crimson Tide on Saturday afternoon if they want to stay above #25 overall – their current 3-2 record certainly isn’t overly impressive at all. Of course, the Aggies only two losses have come against Clemson and Auburn respectively, so they haven’t exactly had the easiest schedule to start the year either.

Even though the spread for this matchup looks pretty efficient overall, I don’t think I want to bet against an undefeated Alabama team that has won all of their games by at least four touchdowns so far this season. The Crimson Tide have also held their opponents to ten points or less in three out of their five last five outings. Finally, Texas A&M is a brutal 1-5 against the spread over their last six meetings with SEC opponents and 0-6 outright over their last six matchups with the Crimson Tide. I’m going to eat the chalk and roll with the big road favorite in this particular spot – give me Alabama to cover!
