Troy saw their modest two game winning streak come to an end last weekend, falling 53-3 on the road against Louisiana to drop below .500 on the season overall. The Trojans gave up 17 unanswered points in the second quarter and never recovered, scoring just a single field goal the entire game. QB Kaleb Barker certainly wasn’t at his best, throwing two interceptions and going just 15/32 for 178 passing yards. RB DK Billingsley led the way on the ground, rushing for 68 yards on ten carries. Kaylon Geiger also chipped in, making six receptions for 44 yards. As a whole, Troy generated almost 350 total yards of offense but failed to find the end zone in the loss.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: App State -13
I’m leaning towards the Mountaineers against the spread in this Sun Belt Conference showdown, as they have clearly been the vastly superior team on both sides of the ball this season. Troy has really struggled at home as well, covering the number just once over their last four outings at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Trojans have been getting lit up on defense over the past several weeks, allowing 196 total points over their last five games. Appalachian State is also really firing on all cylinders offensively right now, putting up 91 total points in just their last two games overall.

It is also important to note that the Mountaineers have really fared well against the spread so far this season, covering the number in three out of their last four road games. Appalachian State is also 8-4 ATS over their last 12 games overall and 16-1 straight up in their last 17 games. On the other side, Troy is just 4-7 against the spread in their last 11 games overall. I’m going to lay the almost two touchdowns and roll with the road favorite against the spread here in Week 14. Give me the Mountaineers to cover!
