The Nevada Wolf Pack host the UNLV Rebels this weekend in a Mountain West Conference showdown. Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM EST on Saturday, November 25th from Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nevada. The game will be locally televised on AT & T Sportsnet.
The Wolf Pack enter the game as 3-point home favorites. That line has shifted slightly after early betting, as the game was originally a pick’em. The over/under is set at 68 points. Click here for a full list of Week 13 betting odds and links to game previews.
UNLV vs Nevada Game Preview & Betting Odds
The Rebels will look to get back to .500 on the season this weekend after a comeback victory against New Mexico their last time out. It looked like the Rebels were going to drop to 4-7 on the season until QB Armani Rogers found a way to put UNLV ahead 38-35 with just 25 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Rogers had a record day, rushing for 193 yards on 25 carries while also passing for over 200 yards. He will need to come up big on the road again this week if UNLV hopes to keep their chances of a bowl appearance this year alive.
Nevada kept things very interesting against San Diego State last weekend, trailing just 21-17 at halftime against the 8-2 Aztecs. However, the second half proved to be a bit of a different story for the Wolf Pack, as they eventually lost by a final score of 42-23. Nevada can still take away a lot of positives after such an impressive performance against a solid team. QB Ty Gangi managed to throw for over 400 yards while also adding three touchdowns, which were both extremely impressive feats against a tough SDSU defense. On the other side of the ball, Nevada will need to be much better against UNLV after allowing the Aztecs to accumulate 494 yards of total offense.
Free College Football Against the Spread Pick: Nevada -3
There should be a ton of scoring in this game, as both teams have certainly struggled immensely on defense pretty much all season long. Nevada is giving up an average of 35.5 points per game this season (116th overall) while UNLV is currently ranked 99th overall after allowing an average of 32.5 points to opponents. I think this is a close, back and forth game that will most likely go down to the wire. Although I’m certainly not overly confident in either team, I think that Nevada finds a way to win this game at hame to close out their season.

The Wolf Pack are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against teams with a losing record while also going an impressive 4-2 ATS over their last six games overall. They have also owned the Rebels ATS recently, going 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against UNLV at home. That particular dynamic certainly factored in heavily when I decided to roll with Nevada in this particular spot. UNLV is also just 5-15 ATS over their last twenty road games against opponents with a losing record. They are also just 4-8 ATS over their last twelve games against Nevada.
Again, this game could definitely go either way. There is no doubt that the Rebels will be highly motivated to get back to .500 on the year and potentially qualify for a bowl game to keep their season alive. However, Nevada has been playing fairly decent football lately and I think that they finally put together a strong 4 quarter performance against their interstate rival. I’m taking the Wolf Pack to win this one by a touchdown.
