The #7 overall Oregon Ducks (7-1) head to California this weekend for a PAC-12 duel with the USC Trojans (5-3). Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM EST on November 2nd at LA Memorial Coliseum and the game will be nationally televised on FOX.

Taking a look at the Week 10 college football odds, Oregon opened as a 4.5-point road favorite earlier this week. That spread hasn’t moved at all after early betting, as the Ducks are currently available at -4.5. The total for the game is sitting at 59 points.

Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: USC vs Oregon

Oregon has now won seven consecutive games after slipping by Washington State 37-35 at home to improve to 7-1 on the season overall. The Ducks trailed by a single point at the half but pulled off the comeback over the final two quarters of the game, outscoring the Cougars 20-18 down the stretch en route to a narrow two-point victory. QB Justin Hebert went 21/30 for 222 passing yards through the air while also RB CJ Verdall exploded for 257 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Juwan Johnson also chipped in, making four receptions for 64 yards. As a whole, Oregon gained just under 550 total yards and scored three offensive touchdowns against their PAC 12 rivals.

The Ducks didn’t have an overly impressive outing on the other side of the ball against Washington State, surrendering over 450 total yards of offense and four touchdowns. Oregon really struggled to contain WR Brandon Arconado, as he torched the secondary for 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns on a game-high nine catches.

USC won their second game in a row last weekend, beating Colorado 35-31 on the road to improve to 5-3 on the season overall. The Trojans trailed 17-14 at the end of the second quarter but really come out strong after halftime, outscoring the Buffaloes 21-14 over the final 30 minutes of the game. QB Kedon Slovis was fantastic, going 30/44 for 406 yards and four touchdowns. Amon-Ra St. Brown scored the only rushing touchdown for USC, finding the end zone on one of his three carries for 50 yards on the ground. Michael Pittman Jr. led the way for the receiving corps, recording seven catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Overall, the offense generated well over 500 total yards and scored five touchdowns against a below average Colorado defense.

The Trojans weren’t that great defensively against Colorado, surrendering over 500 total yards of offense and four touchdowns. USC couldn’t find a way to slow down Buffaloes WR Laviska Shenault Jr. who racked up 172 receiving yards and a touchdown on nine catches.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Oregon -4.5

This is shaping up to be one of the best matchups on the entire schedule here in Week 10, as these two PAC-12 rivals have gone a combined 12-4 through the first nine weeks of the regular season. As things stand currently, I think that the Ducks actually offer pretty decent value in this spot despite having to face an above average team on the road on Saturday night. Oregon has yet to lose a game following their loss against Auburn way back in Week 1, scoring at least 35 points in three consecutive outings. While the Trojans have also looked pretty impressive offensively as of late, their defense has given up at least 30 points in two out of their last three games overall.

It is also important to note that the Ducks have had the edge against the spread over the last several battles between these two schools, covering the number in two out of their last three meetings. Oregon is also a very impressive 7-0 outright over their last seven games against PAC-12 opponents. On the other side, the Trojans have really excelled at home so far this season, going 3-1 against the spread. Even so, I’d much rather take my chances with the slight road favorite in what should be a fast-paced, entertaining matchup. I’ll lay the 4.5 points and roll with the Ducks to win outright and cover the spread.
