It’s time to our attention to Week 6 of the 2017 NFL regular season. I’ve put together a betting schedule with game lines, start times and links to our game previews. Note that each preview will include a free betting lean on the spread or total of that game.
The Kansas City Chiefs remain the only undefeated team left in the NFL at 5-0. Dating back to their 10-game winning streak to end the 2015 season, the Chiefs are a ridiculous 27-4 over their last 31 regular-season game.

KC will try to stay unbeaten when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon. It’s a rematch of last year’s AFC Divisional Round, where Pittsburgh beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead to advance to the AFC Championship Game.
Every other AFC team besides the Broncos (3-1) have at least two losses. In the NFC there’s four different teams that only have suffered one defeat. The Eagles, Packers and Panthers are all sitting at 4-1, while the Falcons are at 3-1.
Several expected playoff contenders are off to slow starts. None more surprising than the Giants 0-5 start. You also have the Cowboys and Raiders both sitting at 2-3.
The big surprises early are the Jets (3-2), Jaguars (3-2) and Rams (3-2). These three teams combined to win a mere 12-games last year.
looking ahead to Week 6 action, the first thing that stands out to me is the number of lopsided matchups there. Out of the 12 games on tap for Sunday, five of them currently have spreads of 9.5 or more. The biggest one coming in the Falcons/Dolphins matchup, where Atlanta is a 12.5-point home favorite.
The good news is there are several key games worth tuning into. One of the best comes Thursday night when the Panthers host the Eagles. I already mentioned the Chiefs/Steelers on Sunday. Other big games include the Packers at Vikings, Lions at Saints, Buccaneers and Cardinals, and Rams at Jaguars.
The week concludes with another not so exciting matchup on Monday Night Football, as the Titans will host the Colts. While it might be hard to watch, it’s a huge game for these two AFC South rivals, as neither wants to lose and fall to 2-4.
One handicapping thing that I want to point out is we are now in the portion of the schedule where teams are going and coming off of their bye weeks. Getting two weeks to not only recover and get healthy, but prepare for the next opponent is big time advantage that isn’t always factored into the line.
The teams returning from a bye are the Falcons, Broncos, Saints and Redskins. Those that aren’t in action this week are the Bills, Bengals, Cowboys and Seahawks. Teams that may or may not be looking ahead to a bye in Week 7 are the Lions and Texans.
