The Air Force Falcons (4-6) travel to Laramie this weekend for a battle with the Wyoming Cowboys (4-6). Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM EST at War Memorial Stadium and the game will be broadcast on ESPNews.
Taking a look at the Week 12 college football odds, Wyoming opened as a 2.5-point home favorite earlier this week. That line has shifted by half a point after early betting, as the Cowboys are currently listed at -2. The total for the game is sitting at 43.5 points.
Vegas Betting Preview & Game Odds: Wyoming vs Air Force
Air Force crushed New Mexico 42-24 at home last weekend to improve to 4-6 overall on the season. The Falcons had lost two games in a row heading into Week 11, so the lopsided victory over the Lobos had to feel good. They were dominant on both sides of the ball, racking up 624 yards of offense while giving up just 305 total yards on defense. QB Isaiah Sanders is the leading passer on offense, throwing for 844 yards and four touchdowns in just 78 attempts. He has been even more effective on the ground, rushing for 466 yards and six touchdowns. Donald Hammond III has also chipped in on offense, throwing for 489 yards and four touchdowns while adding 275 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. Like Navy, Air Force prefers to run the ball and are currently averaging only 144.2 passing yards per game (120th overall). However, they are still averaging 30.9 points per game (54th overall) on 409.2 total yards of offense.
The Falcons have been pretty average on the other side of the ball, allowing opponents to score 25.5 points per game (56th overall). However, they have been quite good against the run through ten games, giving up an average of just 122.8 yards per game on the ground (22nd overall).
Wyoming also moved to 4-6 on the season last weekend after beating San Jose State 24-9 at home. The Cowboys have now won two games in a row as they make a desperate attempt to become bowl eligible with only two weeks remaining in the season. QB Tyler Vander Waal leads the way for a struggling Wyoming offense, throwing for just 1,004 yards and three touchdowns. The passing game has been underwhelming all year long, as the Cowboys are averaging just 127.3 yards through the air per game (126th overall). RB Nico Evans carries the bulk of the laod on the ground, rushing for 1,166 yards and seven touchdowns on 181 total carries. As a whole, Wyoming is currently averaging only 18.2 points per game (127th overall).
On the other side of the ball, the Cowboys are currently giving up an average of 23.4 points per game (47th overall). They have been pretty solid against the run, allowing opponents to average just 114.3 yards per game on the ground (19th overall).
NCAA Football Betting Predictions & Free Pick: Air Force +2
There isn’t likely going to be a lot of scoring in this particular matchup, as it currently has one of the lowest totals on the board here in Week 12. Wyoming has been playing well over the last several weeks, but I still don’t have any faith in their anemic offense. While they have been a little bit better than Air Force defensively – allowing about three points less per game – they are still scoring a full touchdown less per game on offense.

The Falcons are a solid 4-1-1 ATS over their last six games overall. They are also 4-2 straight up in their last six visits to War Memorial Stadium. Wyoming is just 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games in the month of November. They are also only 2-6 ATS over their last eight conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games at home.
Air Force has now scored at least 38 points in three out of their last four games. On the other hand, Wyoming has scored more than 20 points just twice in their last seven games. They should be able to put some points on the board on Saturday against a below average Falcons defense, but I still don’t think it will be enough. I’m going to take the free points and roll with the road underdog to cover with relative ease in a game that they have a good shot at winning outright.
