First things first, if you have yet to do so, you’ll need to add and verify your phone to receive mobile notifications from Twitter. If you have already enabled your phone to receive mobile notifications, you can skip ahead to the second set of instructions.
Add a Mobile Phone to Your Twitter Account
- Login to your Twitter account.
- Click on the settings icon
in the upper right hand corner of the site and select Settings. - Click on “Mobile” on the left-hand menu.
- Choose your country.
- Enter your mobile phone number.
- Click “Activate phone”.
- Twitter will then give you a number to send the word “GO” to via text message.
- Once you have sent the verification text, your mobile phone number will be added to your Twitter account.

Get Mobile Notifications from Jimmy Boyd
Now, here’s how to set up your account to receive updates from Jimmy via text:
- Login to your Twitter account.
- Click on the settings icon in the upper right hand corner of the site and select Settings.
- Click on “Mobile” on the left-hand menu.
- Find the section called “Text notifications” directly under your phone number on this screen.
- Click the check box next to “Tweets from people you’ve enabled for mobile notifications”.
- Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the screen.
- Go to http://www.twitter.com/boydsbets
- Next to the “Following” button, click the gear icon for more options.
- Choose “Turn on mobile notifications”.
- You will now receive a text message any time Jimmy posts an update on his twitter feed, including all additional free picks and teasers!
