They send out Andrew Alvarez, who owns a solid ERA of 3.54 and will be making his 7th appearance of the season. He’s getting more and more stretched out and this is a good matchup for him against a Giants offense that continues to be inconsistent. Adrian Houser counters with an ERA near 6 and has struggled a lot with his command. Washington’s offense is one of the better ones of the league and they’ll get to him early. Back Washington.

All 3 of these games have been intense and down to the wire and this is a game where Carolina can be the ones who benefit from the extra rest. Carolina comes in 22-6-3 this season following a loss and they’re 2-0 this postseason after dropping a game. Along with that, they’re 9-4 this season with 2 days of rest in between games and this will be one where they have their feet underneath them early. Expect plenty of quick bursts toward goal and for the Canes to be the aggressor all night long. Back Carolina.

This will mark just his 2nd start in his career against the Cubs, which right now is not a lineup any opposing pitcher wants to see. Rea will counter for the Cubs and he has fared well against the Rockies. He owns a 2.60 ERA in his career and has continued to give Chicago chances to win when he takes the mound. Back the Cubs.

Ray Monohan has been an incredible handicapper for college basketball. He finished second in 2012-13 and was ninth in 2014-15. Over his last 400 NCAA basketball picks he’s hitting 60%! That’s not a typo.
